I manage my podcast production through Notion, my blogging schedule, my house maintenance, my car maintenance, multiple databases of notes, and oh so much more. Inside the client portal, I store all notes, deliverables, etc. I run my entire business through Notion, using a database as my CRM, linking it to another database of contacts (inside Notion), and then linking that to Client Portals once a lead becomes a client. I would also suggest building yourself dashboard pages for different areas of your life and adding pages, full page databases, toggles, etc as quick references and quick access to various areas of your life. This allows you to do things like create an idea list that can become a production schedule, which can then become a promotion schedule.Īs someone in law, storing your notes inside of a database, organized (tagged) by subject matter, with full notes inside of the database entry than can include ALL supplementary materials from text notes to images to videos to even another database with case law precedents is why Notion destroys anything else.

Not only are you able to build a robust database, but you can view it in 5 different views: table, kanban board, list, calendar, and gallery. This allows for some remarkable opportunities. Inside Notion, you can put a page inside of a page inside of a database inside of database that's inside of a page, etc, etc, etc. When compared to Notion, tools like Evernote or the Notes.app are like Fisher Price notebooks. You might consider tagging as an additional layer and I won't argue that. e.g You can put notes in folders or notebooks, and then possibly add notebooks or folders to other folders. Most note taking programs are limited to 2-3 levels of depth. Notion has a unique system that, for all intents and purposes, is infinite.

The Database blocks are the single most effective way to organize mass quantities of data.

Once you understand these two pieces, you will be able to control the Matrix. There are two aspects of Notion that make it powerful. OK, so here are some of the broad brush strokes.
